Forgiveness
equals lightness
A lot of themes running through my head this week. And a lot of inspiration from all over the internets. Things from Dr. LePera, from friends and loved ones. From the awe-inspiring Alok Vaid-Menon. There are a million threads but the one that really has struck me is the importance of forgiveness.
Of course it is nothing new to say that forgiveness is actually a radical act of self-love. But I will say it again. It seems I can’t say it enough because everyday I am working on forgiving myself. And in the process, forgiving my limitations and circumstances - and in the end, forgiving others.
I read somewhere this week that love is never wasted.
Love is never wasted.
What a beautiful idea and what a wonderful feeling. I believe that this is an immutable truth in the world. Along with forgiveness. The two are inextricably linked. Forgiveness is not only a form of love of others, but also of self-love.
This post got more woo woo than I anticipated.
All this to say, there’s always an infinite amount of work to do, to heal our own pain and pursue our own forgiveness. The work is worth it though. Even if it feels like a mountain that one can never summit.
That’s all folks. Forgive yourself. Forgive others. It’s what will lighten your soul. I’m convinced of it.
