Crawling

My writing projects has slowed to a crawl

I’m out-of-office today and I was looking back on my week and realized that my writing projects have slowed to a crawl. I have a couple of trips coming up and so my poor-barely-hanging-on-by-a-thread writing schedule will be further disrupted this summer. I have to really sit down and figure out some realistic writing goals, otherwise it just feels like I am constantly not doing something that I should be doing daily. It’s like going weeks without brushing your teeth or washing your face.

I’m forever trying to plan work time but then lately I’ve not been getting to the actual work. The good news is that my writing mentor told me about a transcription tool which allows me to drop in my audio files and it will spit out a pretty decent transcript. This is the tiny progress that was made this week - I got a machine to type up my last two interviews. I still have to go through and clean them up but at least that’s off my plate!

Off I go trying to take some more time to plan my work. And then maybe next week I will finally make some progress on that work. Wish me luck!!!
