Last Friday I didn’t post because I was traveling - my last trip (flights) before being grounded. It’s probably a good thing because I am seriously slowing down now. My feet are swollen like a Wall-E person’s and I feel generally like an Oompa Loompa.
Next week and most of July is all I have left to work with before the great here on after. My goal is to continue with 1000 words a day for as long as possible. I’ve been writing about what happened before and after our RTW trip. Again, it’s not directly relevant to Book People but it’s writing and I am happy to just be producing words.
In producing these words, it feels like the ball is starting to roll a bit which is an amazingly positive development. In-fact, I’ve finally written like two paragraphs which I have deigned good enough to make it into Book People! (is that the right use of the word deign?). I am SUPER happy with now having SOMETHING in hand that is the tiny seed to my book. Only took me forever and a day, but hey, it’s finally a start!
July I am also dedicating to finishing my Torts Book. Actually Contracts is now pretty much done - the webpage is even up - oh my! PROGRESS! I should make a post about it and call it a day on Contracts. I will aim to do that next weekend. Work was gracious enough to give us a 4 day holiday for Canada Day and July 4th. You don’t understand how happy that made me.
So: for the last stretch: post about Contracts / fix the front page for print on demand; edit, finalize and publish Torts; keep writing 1000 words a day and hope some more Book People passages shake out. As they love to say at work: let’s get to work!
